I was talking to my friend about Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution show and how my wife and I are obsessed with it. She mentioned that this book was also all about using garden fresh ingredients in recipes for your kids. I had heard of the Obama White House garden but I hadn’t put much thought into how it was about cooking as much as gardening. I’m a terrible gardener, and we don’t really have room for one.

But for cooking, this book has been a great starting place for getting more veggies in what I make for my family. The recipes from the white house are fun but the ones from community gardens are the best because they are proven as something kids will enjoy. I’m trying to feed my family better and if my kids like the food it makes it so much easier.
