The recipes in this book are the best I’ve had, outrageous. I don’t like to cook (to put it lightly#, but the meals come out so tasty and healthy, that I find myself planning my menu for the week and actually following it. The only reason I give this book a four is that the pages sometimes stick together and seem a bit fragile. One drop of water on the page #and it does happen in a kitchen) and the page is warped in seconds. The paper stock is unforgiving. I’d buy this book with better quality paper in a minute. Until then… I love this book and will figure something out to preserve it.

When a patient of mine brought this in for my review, I hunted down my own copy that night! I love that it has calories, protein and more listed for each recipe, and the recipes are simple to prepare. I teach weight loss and this has been a great tool to help people get off of fast food and prepared meals from the store!
In Food Science lab, we used Better Homes and Gardens as our lab book because the recipes ALWAYS turned out as expected, this new edition is no different; it’s awesome!

There are certain things I like in a cookbook, and this cookbook has them. First of all, the foods are normal, and easy to make. There are pictures to see what the finished dish looks like. Lots of recipes to appeal to everyone in the whole family, and nobody is going to feel like they are eating diet food. There is a panel with each recipe with the caloric count and all the other necessary numbers. I really recommend this book.

I bought this book after the holidays, along with several others, because my husband and I were looking for a way to lose weight and eat healthier without feeling deprived. As soon as I opened this book I loved it. The recipes are delicious and easy to prepare and very healthy. My husband and I are slowly losing weight and we’re enjoying it. We try a new recipe nearly every night and haven’t found a bad one yet. The book lives up to it’s name, “Eat Well Lose Weight.”

I have always like Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks and they came through again in this one. The nutritional information at the beginning is helpful, esp. to beginning dieters, and the recipes use ordinary ingredients I can find at my grocery store, and do not require special skills in preparation. One of the best features is that there is a photo of every dish.
My only complaint is Amazon packaging. This is the 2nd book I’ve received that is beat up. They do not give me a place to tell them about it so I will mention it here. The box was way too big for the item – which would have been fine if there had been sufficient wrapping around the cookbook. There was a little bit of wrapping in the box, it had been loosely wrapped around the book but had come off in transit and did nothing to cushion anything. The book rattled around in the box. The box itself had dents and gashes, and my book has a dent in the binding. Like I mentioned, this is the second time this has happened.
